As part of our expansion phase to our Remotely Piloted Systems portfolio at our Möhlin site in Switzerland, UMS Skeldar AG have a full-time position available for an experienced RPAS Pilot. This would be an exciting and challenging opportunity to operate as part of a dedicated Flight Operations team in a rapidly expanding, dynamic RPAS/UAV market. Predominantly acting as Pilot in Command of our V-150 rotary RPA, the position will involve trials and testing in collaboration with all departments within the company including design, production, systems, marketing and customer support.

  • Plan and execute all V-150 rotary RPAS operations as Pilot in Command
  • Be responsible for all aspects of operational Flight Safety
  • Develop flight profiles and procedures in support of flight system testing
  • Liaise closely with design and production departments and provide written and verbal feedback of flight tests
  • Conduct customer demonstrations and training in the classroom, online or at customer locations worldwide
  • Perform site survey and risk analysis for V-150 on deployed operations



  • Experience in RPAS/UAV Operations and Control
  • In possession of a current PPL with minimum 40 hours solo or
  • 400 hours experience on Medium Altitude, Long Endurance RPAS – Tier II or similar, rotary or fixed wing
  • Minimum 5 years aviation experience, civilian and/or military
  • Working knowledge of ATC, Flight Planning, Meteorology, Air Law, Navigation and Human Factors
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve issues arising from test procedures
  • Ability to make optimal decisions in challenging flight test environments.
  • Ability to assess and initiate actions independently and be accountable for those actions
  • Ability to compile and interpret documents including safety rules and standard operating procedures
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Confident, assured and effective English language skills, written and verbal
  • Self-driven attitude with the ability work to fixed deadlines
  • Ability to react quickly to revised test scheduling


  • Experience in Flight Trials and Testing
  • Instructional experience
  • Experience with airborne sensors including electro-optics, LIDAR, Hyper/Multi-Spectral, Synthetic Aperture Radar
  • Experience with European (EASA) Rules and regulations for Unmanned Aircraft Systems


  • Work full time at our Swiss facility in Möhlin (near Basel), Switzerland
  • Deployments to our Swedish site and customer sites as required on an ad-hoc basis
