We are now recruiting for a Team Manager to our Engineering Management Office at UMS Skeldar Linköping.
UMS SKELDAR develops an unmanned helicopter to support marine, military and public safety operations. We have a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with an entrepreneurial spirit. As Team Manager for Engineering Management Office you will together with a team of engineers drive the overall technical system development aspect of UMS Skeldar’s products. In this role you will be the development departments interface to both product and project management, acting to ensure that the systems are designed and developed in accordance with our procedures and standards.
The Engineering Management Office (EMO) gathers the top level technical leadership in the organization, and currently consists of 9 engineers in roles such as Chief Engineer, Configuration Manager, Software Architect, System Safety Engineer and Requirement Engineer.
Your mission will be to coach each individual and the team to reach their full potential. Leading the team will include a mix between daily operational task and more strategic tasks.
In this position you will report to Head of Development. It includes being part of the Development Management Team, in which you together with other Team Managers work with defining and executing strategies and plans for the development department.

As a Team Manager for EMO you will:
- Lead a team of engineers as the responsible line manager.
- Ensure the timely availability of engineering resources in accordance with the business plan and project plans.
- Ensure the short and long-term capabilities of the team through active staff development and the definition, implementation, and execution of a multi-year staffing plan.
- Ensure that the output of the team meets all relevant process, quality and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with other teams and departments, such as systems design, product management, project management, procurement, production, flight operations, and customer support.
- Define and/or contribute to the definition of engineering processes and ways of working, which includes requirements from future regulatory requirements.
- Coach and lead engaged individuals to reach their goals.
- Act as design and development representative in product development planning.
- Support project management in system level technical aspects

To succeed in this role, we see that you have a university degree within a technical field, or other relevant experience. We also see that you have extensive experience in the systems engineering domain. Further, we require that you have several year of demonstrable experience in leading engineering teams.
This position requires being fluent in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
